About The Rest
The Rest is a centrally located, accessible community space for explorative/experimental contemporary and photographic arts.
The Gallery is a type of ‘third place’, an informal space that highlights artists exploring contemporary themes.
The Rest is also an emerging education and tourism center offering art classes and photo tourism workshops.
We offer a selection of workshops and classes for the amateur and more advanced photographer alike. We also offer photographic print services in addition to matting and framing.

May 2022 Artist Showcase Juried Exhibition
The Rest Gallery of Ithaca, NY invites regional Finger Lakes Artists to submit original and contemporary artworks for a juried exhibition. The May Artist Showcase is a community art exhibition celebrating artists in the Finger Lakes region, building connections between artists and our community. We encourage artists and creatives of all ages who live, work, and/or study in the Finger Lakes region to submit work for the May 2022 Artist Showcase.

Media
All media including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, fiber arts, digital media, sculpture
Artwork Dropoff
April 28-30; Work must be delivered between the business hours of 10-4. In person dropoff is preferred and is available during business hours. Shipments must be delivered during the weekday during business hours. Artist’s are responsible for all packing, insurance, and shipping costs
Sales and Commission
Artists will receive 75% of any work sold
Submissions
Please submit up to five (5) works along with an image sheet/slide list - corresponding sequentially numbered 1-5, with the artist’s name, title, media, size, edition, and date, in addition to an short artist statement/bio (less than 500 words) to TheRestGallery@gmail.com. Submit all images as jpegs.
Image Usage Rights
Image Usage Rights Accepted artist's work is eligible for inclusion in The Rest Gallery’s May 2022 Showcase promotional materials.
The enclosed entry/entries must be original work, independently created, composed and executed. No copies from other artists' works or paintings/drawings from other artists' photographs or from published material will be allowed. Source material must be original.
