After being in The Rest for well over a year, I needed to pick a direction for an installation I was committed to making. Pieces that offer an interactive component have often captured my attention. Those that reveal something deeper and darker about the artist also open a space for transparency under the cover of art. In addition to creating an environment, Forest Confessional offers us a chance to leave a little deep dark piece of ourselves to be reabsorbed into the trees.
